Phap+ clinic vs Miami. I don't think I've done a great job trying to explain the dramatic difference btwn Miami and phap+ which is the HIV/fam practice clinic. I spend each morning until about 12:30 in the clinic. It's about 45 min drive to miami where I work till 10. I can't continue this pAce but for now I feel i can contribute dicfently in each. Phap+ is a solid functioning clinic and it's a good sign that about 10% of the visits are follow up Appointments. But it's also Soo limitted on supplies. 3 examples. Elderly Hi blood pressure 210/100) we have a total of maybe 50 tabs of hctz/lisinopril combo pill. So I chopped them up and dosed peices to make them last and have a few left in case something worse comes in. Svr vomit /diArrhea not able to hold Down fluids or meds. Currently no iv fluids avail. I know 1-2 liters and she would have been fine. Same old lady with high blood pressure slept in the street with her sister and got soaked in the rain. A tent or tarp would have been good medicine. I'm also treating presumed stds as though they're just chlamydiA (usually treat gonorrhea at the same time). Because w have doxy but no suprax or rocephin and about a gram of zithromax
