Next stop was the big house: university general hospital. Suppsedy a horror show with hundreds. Or more patient s at times no staff at night (rumor don't know if true). Walk in talk to some american docs. I ask for the guy in charge....no less than my old buddy Collin Bucks from Einstein. What an awesome happy reuinion. We caught up on old times made introductions exchanged locAl numbers and we were able to arrange xport for a potts cAse (Tb destruction of vertebrae L1) to Miami for neuro aurg

  1. GH was chaotic when I was there last and never mind that huge bulldozer trying to tear down that structure across the street from it and all the patients practically wrapped around the block waiting to get in. I did meet some nice ER American docs. Think your experience teaming up with Housing Works is unique. You are wearing many hats, my dear friend. (physician, logistic coordinator, patient advocate, negotiator, patient transport, med pick up. etc..)Not sure all the others who have remained insulated (not necessarily by choice) will have that experience we had.I know you are working hard. Charge on!
