Finally I have to say how totally not dangerous it feels Not out of naivite I hope but un trucks and releid workers are so ubiquitous that I think the locals are as inured to us as to the rubble. I don't feel like an object of hostility or even an object of interest per se. Only thanks and warm smiles from those to whom I am directly introduced. It's good

That was my experience too as far as not feeling threatened. Like any other place one would not venture out in strange places at 2AM, yet for some reason some in the media have persistently scared outsiders into thinking being down there is like being thrown into savagery. I just don't understand it.
